Case Study

Adelaide Airport Limited manages Australia’s fifth-largest domestic airport, sixth-largest international airport and South Australia’s premier pilot training airport. Identifying and managing risks and incidents effectively is an absolutely critical, daily task for an airport. The client was looking for a solution which could grow with its evolving Enterprise Risk Management Framework and this is exactly what cammsrisk and cammsincident provided them with.

Adelaide Airport Limited (AAL) manages Australia’s fifth-largest domestic airport, sixth-largest international airport and South Australia’s premier pilot training airport. They serve more than 8 million passengers annually and employs more than 150 staff.

The Challenge

Identifying and managing risks and incidents effectively is an absolutely critical, daily task for an airport. The client was looking for a solution which could grow with its evolving Enterprise Risk Management Framework. They needed a system which would:

  • Allow more customisation
  • Assist Integration with existing systems
  • Help Risk and Incident management be more in-built in day-to-day operational activities
  • Provide operations teams with a simple-to-use and useful tool
  • Enable transparent and effective reporting to the Director Board

Our Solution

After a thorough procurement process, Adelaide Airport chose cammsrisk to help it stay on top of its organisational risks. The airport also uses cammsincident to effectively record workplace incidents and near-misses real-time, and act upon them straightaway.

cammsrisk and cammsincident not only helped AAL effectively manage day-to-day risks and incidents, but they also recorded a 32% drop in the number of incidents reported in the first 6 months while there was a 128% increase in the number of hazards reported.

“CAMMS have delivered a fully configurable Enterprise Risk Management solution that’s simple and intuitive for both users and administrators, easily integrates with our existing systems and incident management needs, and supports both our Enterprise Risk Management framework direction and maturity aspirations.”
